Breathe, OM (for sale in UK only)

home grown organic inks on 640gsm organic cotton rag paper

28.75in x 19.75in, unframed

An invitation to pause, breathe and be transported…this collection is about stillness. Each piece was borne of meditation for your own space of ritual.

‘Breathe, Om’ is part of a collection inspired by the Ishihara colour blindness tests, a contemplative project about our potential to see the truth of the beauty in nature. The spiritual symbol in this piece is the Sanskrit symbol for Om or Breathe. The inks I’ve used are home-made from flowers grown in my own garden or foraged locally here in Norfolk, processed in my kitchen to create colours without additives. Nature knows best.

Each ink blot was dropped on an exhale, applied with found twigs in varying sizes.

Breathwork (Pranayama) is an ancient meditative practice which is becoming more mainstream here in the West.

These inks came from honesty petals, apple bark & apple leaf, nettle and grasses. Being completely natural and organic, the colours in these works will continue to evolve, reminding us that the only constant in life is change.

Breathe in. Breathe out.
